4. Introduction of AA Energy Power Plant
AA Energy Ltd, started its first biomass power plant at most rural
area of Maharashtra i.e Gadchiroli in January 2009.
The company has set up a 10 MW Biomass based plant in Desaiganj
Wadsa, district Gadchiroli in eastern Maharashtra, at cost of about
Rs. 50 crore, operational since April 30th 2010. The project was
commissioned in a record time of 16 months.
The plant mainly operates on rice husk and other available biomass
the company presently purchase biomass and open market to meet
the needs of raw material.
5. MAJOR MATERIAL HANDLING PRODUCTS

In this plant there are four conveyor belts, named as BC1, BC2, BC3 & BC4.
The main function of this belts is to carry husk or coal
from coal storage plant to bunker.

7. BOILER
Boilers are used in power plants in order to produce high
pressured steam, so that the plant can generate electricity. The
process that does this is known as the Rankine cycle. The boiler
takes in energy from some form of fuel such as coal, natural gas,
or nuclear fuel to heat water into steam.
In this power plant water tube type boiler is used it also called
as steam generator.
In the power plant rice husk is used as a raw material.
8. The capacity of boiler is 46 TPH
The main purpose of boiler is convert water to steam
The pressure of steam generated in boiler is 68 Kg/ cm2
The temperature of generated steam is 490 +/_5 0c
The temperature of boiler is above 4000c

9. Working
There are four bunker in AA Energy Plant out of which two
bunkers are of coal and other are of rice husk. When raw
material stored in this bunker is feed to furnace then
temperature of the furnace increases about 8000c due to
which water stored in boiler converted into steam.

coils are used to increase the Surface Areas to achieve higher
Heat Transfer Rates. They are used in Fluidized Bed Coils and
Fluidized Bed Superheaters.

Here the temperature of the steam is about 4500c 4800c.
11. TURBINE SPECIFICATION IN AA ENERGY POWER PLANT
Turbine is a mechanical device, which is coupled with generator
through gear box.
The speed of turbine rotor is 7556 RPM.
It required 1.5 to 2 hours for its full operating speed.

Inlet steam temperature ~ 4850c
Inlet steam pressure ~ 64 Kg/cm2
Exhaust steam pressure ~ 0.1 ATA
