This document describes the development of a decision support system to help pediatricians screen for language disorders. The system uses a knowledge base of 136 questions about child development milestones from 1-72 months of age. It was validated using real cases and aims to improve early detection of disorders. The system allows pediatricians to easily interact via a web interface to evaluate children's language and refer them to specialists when needed. The authors conclude it provides an innovative way to assist pediatricians in detecting language disorders.
