Sir J.C. Bose was a pioneering Indian scientist from the late 19th/early 20th century. He made significant contributions across many fields, including physics, botany, biology, and inventing the first wireless detection device. He founded the Bose Institute, one of the first modern research institutes in India. Bose conducted groundbreaking research on plant physiology and response, inventing the crescograph and proving similarities between plant and animal tissues.
