• Japan located at East Asia. It has 6,852 islands across
  Pacific Ocean. The biggest islands are Honshu,
  Hokkaido, Kyushu and Shikoku.
• It is the world’s 10th largest population with over 127
  million people. (China, India, US, Indonesia, Brazil,
  Pakistan, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Russia)
• Capital city: Tokyo. It is the largest metropolitan in the
  world, with over 32 million residents. (Tokyo, Seoul,
  Mexico City, New York, Mumbai, Jakarta)
• Area: 377,944 km2. A bit smaller than Sumatera
• Head of government: Emperor and Prime Minister
• Currency: Yen
• Official Language: Japanese
• Japan has 4 season: winter, summer, autumn, and
  spring.

• It is the capital of Japan with over 32 million residents.
• It is very crowded and everything is very expensive there.
• It is a mix of modern living and old-fashioned manners, slick high-tech
  gadgets and cutesy cartoon mascots.
• It has the well-known Sumo fight theater.

Japanese are hard worker
• Children of Japan taught to have deep respects for
  their parents and bosses.
• They learned to work hard, do their best for the family
  and work, and worry less about their own needs.
• Japan is the world’s 2nd largest economy. It’s
  technology are well-known all over the world.
• Children learning high technology and taught to invent
  more technologies.
• Although Japan always hit by many natural disasters
  like typhoon, earthquakes, volcanic eruption, but their
  hard work keep them back in track and rebuild their
  country even stronger.

  Pioneer, Ricoh, Seiko, Sharp, Sony, TDK, and
  Toshiba.
• Japan is the world’s 3rd largest automotive
  manufacturers after China and US.
• In Indonesia, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki and
  Yamaha are the biggest motorbike brands. With
  over 5,000,000 units sold every year.

Japanese Children
• Japan has the 3rd lowest infant mortality rate.
• Children are taught to eat well and exercise,
  so they become healthy.
• They are taught to study and work hard since
  young age.
• In the school, they are motivated to make new
  innovation. They are good at making robots
  and other invention.
• They learned how to survive earthquake and
  also martial arts.

Japan is the expert of Earthquakes
• Thousands of earthquakes hit Japan every year.
• Japanese learned how to survive by protecting
  themselves from earthquakes.
   – They built high building using materials that can wobble
     and absorb earthquakes vibrant.
   – Government is prepared for damage, with very fast
     response to after-earthquakes safety plan.
   – Government ready to house survivors who lose their
     houses.
   – The country is ready to rebuild after earthquakes.
   – Adult and children are taught in school on how to save
     themselves in earthquakes.
• Recently Tsunami on March 2011 still make Japan
  suffers.
Kyoto
• The Emperor’s palace and another 16 palaces are in Kyoto.
• It is one of the most favorite tourist destination. It is Japan’s capital for 1000
  years before Tokyo.
• It is the only place where Geisha tradition still lives.
• Kyoto has many attraction for tourist, like studio performance, dances.
• It has the biggest International Manga museum, which has thousands of
  manga collections.

• 4/5 of Japan is covered by mountains. The Japanese Alps run down
  the center of largest island, Honshu. The highest peak is mount Fuji.
• More than 1000 earthquakes hit Japan every year. Because there
  are 3 tectonic plates meet and also there are 200 volcanoes, 60 of
  those are active in Japan.
• Japanese believed that nature features, like mountains, waterfall,
  forest have soul and spirit.
• Most Japanese have long life. The women are world’s 2nd highest
  life expectancy. Because their food is healthy. They eat more fish
  and vegetables and less meat.
• In Japan, people bow to say Hello instead of shaking hands.
