Vera shares her memories of school life from a long time ago in England. She had to walk a long way to primary school where they used blackboards and chalk. During World War 2, if the air raid siren sounded, the students would have to quickly march to the air raid shelters. Boys who misbehaved would get hits on the hand with a cane, while girls had to write lines. In her free time, Vera played common outdoor games of the era like hide and seek. When she returned to England over 40 years later, everything was just as it was when she had left.
