The hand of the artist is the ultimate design tool. My
hands are an intricate part of the design process
starting with the hand dyeing of my own fabrics.

Next comes the surface design techniques using rust
pigmentation either using scientific iron filings or
antique ironwork to add the rust pigmentation.

The artwork is completed with my dense and intricate
hand stitching that adds physical and visual texture.
