This document discusses alternative learning systems for Indigenous Peoples (IP) communities in the Philippines. It focuses on developing an Indigenous Peoples core curriculum that promotes cultural preservation, functional literacy, development, protection and empowerment of IP communities. The curriculum aims to improve teachers' knowledge, skills, language choice and attitudes towards IP students to help achieve education goals by 2015.
