: I only today heard about John's passing as a friend told me about it because I wrote in my
vision on the Greates Networker (TGN)that John was the keynote speaker at an event a few years
out. I am one of John's many admierers and his books have helped me greatly to understand the
true value of Network Marketing.

: If you are interested what I had written, you may see it at my TGN site at
http://greatestnetworker.com/comunity/myface.tcl?is=9006

: By the way, the quote you stated as one of John's favorite ones, is mine too. It is over 100 years
old and had been written by one of Germany's greatest writers Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
: You atrributed it to someone else.

: Sincerely
: Margarete de Gaston

: : Some sad news
: : John Kalench passed away Tuesday morning.
: : He leaves Yvonne, his wife, and sons, Cole age 6 and Jackson age 2.
: : As you know, John was an highly respected trainer and
: : international best selling author for the Network Marketing industry.
: : The Author of "Being the Best You Can Be in MLM", a
: : book many consider to be the how-to benchmark of the Network Marketing industry. Hailed
as an instant classic when it was first published in 1991, it has gone on to sell over one million
copies worldwide in sixteen different languages. Corporations, leaders and distributors around
the world acknowledge his continued example of integrity, vision and commitment to the
growing industry of Network Marketing.

: : John trained tens of thousands of Network Marketing entrepreneurs all over the world through
workshops, seminars and keynote presentations.

::
: : He had been active in MLM , doing what he loved, up until last week.

::
: : In October 1997, John was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. which has only a 3% survival
rate.
: : In May '98, after 11 years as an independent trainer, he made the decision to once again, build
a network marketing team. He wanted to put his family first. He wanted to do what he really
loved. His number one asset was his reputation: John was trusted..

::
: : He knew that the moment that he made a decision to join a company, that trust would be
questioned. Some people would understand; most wouldn't."
: : He made a vow not to contact prior contacts within the industry to build his business. He
sponsored only two people he personally knew before joining Nikken, and one was his sister.
: : He had been active in MLM , doing what he loved, up until last week.

: : He died knowing his family was secure, as he had created residual income from the Network
Marketing. More important, the success of the people he helped develop and the relationships he
formed with
: : his team, and everyone in the industry, will keep his family secure for many years to come. He
looked not just at the financial side of the business, but he also chose to work with people he felt
would be wonderful mentors to his sons. He moved towards
: : seeking to live his life in balance.
: : He has left a legacy for his family, for present and future Network Marketers to come. He
leaves his family surrounded by people that care about them. John had set a goal , that by the
time he died, he wanted to have a million friends. It was a goal he reached along time ago.

: : He has made a huge difference in my life personally and I will miss him.

: : I shut my eyes and can still hear his greeting: "Isn't it a GLORIOUS day?"
::
: : I now believe more then ever in the power of Network Marketing.
: : It effects all areas of my life and as John has proven to me once again, that when done
correctly, Network Marketing is truly the most equitable system on earth.

::
: : One of John's favorite writings on Commitment:
: : "Until one is committed there is always hesitancy,
: : the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness.
: : Concerning all acts of initiative and creation,
: : there is one elementary truth, the ignorance
: : of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans:
: : That the moment one definitely commits, then Providence moves too. All sorts of wonderful
things occur to help one, that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events
issues from the decision, raising in one's favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings
and material assistance which no man could have dreamed would come his way."W.H. Murray

: : "THERE ARE NO COINCIDENCES!"
: : What a privilege it was to know and work with him.

: : John Kalench touched my life first when I read his
: : books. Then, he helped me to be successful, via videoteleconferencing. I count myself among
his million friends. I know some of you do too. Please keep his family in your thoughts and
prayers if you are so inclined.
