TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Peter is perhaps one of the most conscientious and hard-working students I have
had over the last twelve years of teaching at OLM. He has set a high standard for
himself as he constantly reworks, researches, or reviews his work to his personal
satisfaction.
While he doggedly pursues his academic goals, he is steadfast in his work ethic and
resolves to learn as much as he can in all his subjects. He has constantly requested
further reading suggestions. He has looked for and accepted criticism of his work,
and has seriously dedicated himself to excellence. He is constantly looking for more
reading, suggestions or further sources for his personal academic enrichment. The
consummate student his high GPA at present reflects the success of those efforts.
Despite the energy he spends and the extra time he allots to his studies, he has also
had a positive attitude about school life and a smile that is as warm as it is constant.
He is available for class activities and school functions. He plays on the Varsity
basketball team and has other sports interests outside of school. He is cordial to
everyone, and makes friends easily. People approach him because he is open as well
as knowledgeable, available for whatever may be needed of him.
He is an example of scholarship and athletics, proud to be an all-around Lancer,
committing himself to doing his best both for himself and the school. Along with the
school’s emphasis on community service he has become involved in creating and
offering programs that are meant to give the poor access to their rights and
assistance in bettering their education, health and safety.
In addition to the international experience of OLM he has spent summers at U.S.
universities in courses for interested high school students. This gentle young man
has powerful dreams and ambitions with the energy and determination to carry
them out. Whatever institution accepts him will benefit from his presence as we
have.
Sincerely,
John J. Majka, M.S. in Ed.
