Born in Israel, Joseph Girouard grew up in Houston, Texas. After shuttling between New York and California for decades, he returned to Houston in early 2021. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in sociology from NYU, as well as a graduate degree in education from UC Berkeley. In his free time, Joseph enjoys exploring the city's theater, museums and restaurants, and spending time with his beloved wife and grandchildren.
