? In 1998, Link Exchange was sold to Microsoft for US$265 million. In
2009, he sold his second startup, Zappos, to Amazon for $1.2 billion.
? Tony Hsieh was once the shining light of Chinese-American
entrepreneurs in everyone’s eyes. But he died tragically at home
due to alcoholism and drug abuse.

Where are you going in this life?
? 人若賺得全世界，賠上自己的生命，有什麼益處呢？人還能拿
什麼換生命呢？ (馬太福音16:26)
? What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world,
yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in

「捨己」：Deny Himself (NIV)
? 「捨」:原文有拒絕、否定的意思。(Deny)
? 「己」:自己。原文表示說話和行動為同一個人。(Himself)
? 自己拒絕、否定自己 (He deny himself.)

? The journey of the cross is a continual process of self-
denying.

? 胡筱薇回憶道，「其實我才是先破壞婚姻的人。」她深
刻地認罪、悔改，迫切禱告，就見證丈夫發生奇妙的轉

? Hu Xiaowei recalled, "Actually, I was the one who broke the
marriage first." She confessed deeply, repented, and prayed
fervently, and she witnessed a miraculous transformation in
her husband.
? Zou Wenbo gradually came to his senses, "I actually did the
thing I hated most." He knelt down to apologize to his wife and
returned to the church to seek help.

*啟程那天，只見父親來送行，原來母親捨不得女兒遠渡
重洋，不願讓她看到自己淚灑碼頭，平添感傷，所以沒
有來。然而，當兩人通電話道別時，母親還是哭了。沒
想到，這一別，真的是永別。
*On the day of departure, I saw my father coming to see her off. It turned out
that my mother was reluctant to let her daughter cross the ocean, and she
didn't want her to see her crying on the dock, which would add to the
sentimentality, so she didn't come. Still, the mother cried when the two said
goodbye on the phone. Unexpectedly, this farewell would really be an eternal
farewell.

若有人要跟從我
Whoever Wants to be my Disciple
? 十字架的旅程總是徘徊在捨己的痛苦和主的安慰中。
? 但我們在受苦中能與神相會!
? 十字架是一個讓人心碎的地方，但除了背起它，我們別無他法來結出
生命的果實。
? 因為神透過背十字架，才能完成祂在你身上的奇妙計畫。
? The journey to the cross always lingers in the pain of self-denial and the comfort of the
Lord.
? But we can meet God in suffering!
? The cross is a heartbreaking place, but we have no other way to bear the fruit of life
than to bear it.
? Because God can accomplish His wonderful plan for you by bearing the cross.

? 因為，凡要救自己生命的，必喪掉生命；凡為我喪掉生命的，必

? For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever
