- Online services through Microsoft Live@Edu offer a low-cost, quick deployment option that extends classroom learning outside of the school day and lowers technical barriers compared to building similar services in-house.
- Judson ISD has automated student account creation and management and will roll out Live@Edu to secondary students in fall 2011 as part of a larger strategy to utilize online resources and extend classroom learning beyond the school day.

Live@Edu is a natural extension of this
• Has impressive set of online apps: Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, OneNote
• Generous 25GB of storage space on Sky Drive
• Exchange platform and capabilities are proven
and very solid (for corporate type services)
• Deep management capabilities via PowerShell
• Managed much like other Microsoft products, so
natural fit for IT administration staff
7. • Judson ISD had automated creation and update of
student accounts, file shares, and groups with
UMRA (User Management Resource
Administrator)
• Natural progression of the project was to create
automated student Live@Edu account creation
and management
– We got tools4ever to take this project on for proof of
concept and marketing
– Only cost to us for project has been man hours
8. • In April of 2011 we executed script,
creating over 10,000 secondary account at
Live@Edu.
9. • Live@Edu will be rolled out to secondary
students as part of larger web 2.0 strategy
in Fall 2011
• Initial focus will be on computer literacy
classes and other technology courses
