Play the Game
Tellme,how do you say…?
This game takes you through the language of Spanish. The
hardest part of learning another language is using it enough for
you to remember the words.
In this game you will learn important phrases and key
vocabulary words to help you get to a birthday party on time.
There will be obstacles that you face when trying to learn the
many new words, but that is normal.
If you don’t know the answer to a question, give it your best
shot. Spanish is a fun language because sometimes words look a
lot like English words. Good Luck and Bueñas Dias!

Game Directions
The GOAL of the game:
To travel from your house to your friend’s birthday party. You want to be the
first person to wish your friend ¡Feliz Cumpleaños! (Happy Birthday)
To PLAY the game:
You must answer questions correctly to move along the game board.
•Each player rolls the dice. Move the spaces and see which color you land on.
•Pick a question that is the same color as the space you land on. If you answer
the question correctly, you get to pick a present. The presents are found on the
green cards. Flip one over and keep it. If you get another question right, you
can choose to pick another card if you want or you can keep your present.
•If you get the question wrong, you have to go back to where you started from.
•If you land on a stop sign, pick a red card. These cards have different
obstacles that might come in your way.
•If you land on the yield left sign, you get to slide up the board. But if you land
on the detour sign, you are sent down the wrong road back down the board.
To WIN the game you have to…
Be the first to the party with a present!
