ALBANY AREA BASSMASTERS! JULY 2012 ALBANY AREA BASS TIMES MESSAGE FROM THE PREZ After two points tournaments, this Club has shown again how talented you guys really are. Already we¡¯ve had some excellent catches and already we¡¯ve had some juggling in the standings. Great job to all of you for getting your boats in and out in a timely manner. At Schroon Lake we had a tough situation with the storms we encountered. We had a tough weigh-in but we got through it because we worked together. We thank the girls for all their help! Rose and Deb cooked our hot dogs, Sandy sat in the rain scoring our weights, and Bev (with her raingear in the truck) took all our pictures. The girls got soaked but never complained. Congratulations to our first two winners: Jim Underhill at Rouses Point and Paul Pflieger at Schroon Lake. Hope these guys will talk to us for a few minutes and tell us how they did it. Our July 6th meeting will be pretty much dedicated to fishing, as we have two tournaments to go over and our two-day draw for Saratoga (July 14-15). Please think about whether you are fishing the Husband and Wife tournament on Saratoga INSIDE THIS (August 11th). This tournament has grown every year and is really a lot of fun. I urge all you guys who can, to sign up for ISSUE: it. Officers present: George Locke, Frank Rossetti, Paul Pflieger, Danny Harrington Motion to accept previous minutes: Jim Underhill and George Leibach Tournament Committee - Frank Rossetti: June tournaments include a 2-day trip to Rouse¡¯s Point, and 1-day at Schroon Lake. The draw was that night. June 1, 2012 Next month we will draw for Saratoga and Sacandaga. Meeting Minutes Treasurer¡¯s Report - Paul Pflieger: Currently we have $2890.74 in our From Secretary checking account. Balance should be increasing with our upcoming tournaments. Danny Harrington Membership Report - Keith Adams: No report. Felix attended his 4th function, and completely re-did our website. He was voted on and unanimously accepted into the club! Welcome Felix! Thanks so much for your help on the site. Banquet Committee - George Locke: Reports that Keith found out that the first room he was looking at, is too small, and too much money. We are currently looking into the American Legion Hall at Melvin Roads! They seem to be very willing to work with us. Conservation Report: Be safe at Rouse¡¯s Point. It¡¯s bigger water. Make sure your fire extinguisher, bilge pumps and lights work. Paul Pflieger reports that the water quality at Schroon is AA. Meaning it is fine for drinking water, and contains no green algae. The lake accomplished this by hand harvesting asian millfoil, boat launch stewards, and education about envasive species. NYSBCF - First tournament at Cayuga Lake will be on June 17, 2012. Lunker Pool - Charlie Curcurito: 30 men in! Here we go!!!
