JUMA SHIBE.
Maduude......a.k.a. Mr. Mambo Madogo
Juma Salim Shibe was born on Saturday, the 3rd day of March, 1990 in
Mombasa, Kenya. He attended his primary school at Vuga Primary in Kwale and
later high school at Waa Boys still in Kwale. His acting interest began in high
school where he performed in a school play 'Kioo'. At the age of 22, he started
out as a volunteer in a group by the name Kwale Arts, where his talent was
groomed.
He was selected on a talent search and was given a full course
scholarship to learn Video Production at National Youth Talent Academy in
Kakamega that was sponsored by Unicef and The Government of Kenya. He
got his certificate after he successfully completed his nine months course on
Video Production.
He came back to Kwale Arts and decided to apply his skills by filming his first
movie called "Kiza" (The Blackout) which was a debut at Coast Film Festivals in 2013.
He did his second movie called "Shimo La Tewa" under Kwale Arts. The feedback from
the community was positive, and this made him very famous. He was featured in a
movie called "Unconditional Love" under GreenScreen company, which won him best
actor at The Coast Film Festivals 2013. The movie was aired on the international
channel, Swahili Magic EAST
In 2014, he auditioned under a company named, Ashiner Pictures
Limited, and instantly won the role of MJ in a Kenyan local Television soap
opera, "Almasi" which was aired on K24TV and was awarded the best
upcoming actor for his charismatic role. Captivating the viewers and his
producers with his performance as MJ (a name he is widely known in Kenya),
he secured his second role as Musa on another program called "Sumu" aired
on the same station. He instantaneously rose to fame and became one of the
most recognized face in the Kenya entertainment industry.
With an amazing talent and acting range, he has managed to remain new
and fresh in the industry. When he’s not busy filming his next Kenya hood
flick, Juma Shibe is develops movies under his production group Kwale Arts,
searching for and mentoring new talent. The Kenyan heartthrob continues to
keep his fans in anticipation for his next venture and African Film.
