A 30-year-old female patient with ankylosing spondylitis and secondary osteoarthritis of the right hip as well as pre-existing osteoarthritis of the left hip that was previously treated with a total hip replacement in 2012 underwent a total hip replacement of the right hip on January 9, 2014 due to worsening pain and mobility issues. Her pre-operative Harris Hip Score was 11, indicating severe hip dysfunction.
