 Improved technology
 Improved transport.
 Rapid growth of multinational companies.

ADVANTAGES OF
GLOBALIZATION
 Increased flow of capital due
to large investments.
 Globalization creates more
job opportunities for people.
 Sharing of knowledge and
technology across the world.
(Singh, 2014).
ADVANTAGES OF
GLOBALIZATION
-People have access to new markets.
-Labour costs are reduced in labour intensive
countries
DISADVANTAGES OF
GLOBALIZATION

 Exploitation of cheaper labour markets.
 Loss of cultural identity.
 The gap between the poor and the rich
increases.
 Declining of economies due to loss of
local businesses.
 Damage to the environment.
GLOCALIZATION (Dickerman, 2012)
 Glocalization is the process that shows the importance of
integrating local brands with global brands.
 It can help local brands to develop.
