Some lives can be as exciting as a super hit movie, but only a few have the potential of themselves becoming a blockbuster film. It's not from where you begin but where you finish. Kapil Sharma, a name which has now become household, was once just limited to his home, school, and the PCO booth he worked at while being in the 10th standard.
2. Kapil Sharma aspired to dream big and
worked hard to turn it into reality, now he is an
Indian stand-up comedian, television presenter
and actor. He hosted own television comedy
show Comedy Nights with Kapil.
Kapil Sharma was born on 2nd April, 1981 in
Amritsar, Punjab. His father was head
constable in police department.
3. Since childhood, Kapil had a dream of
becoming a singer. He has amazing voice and
also has sense of seven notes(the basics of
singing).
Kapil completed his studies from Amritsar. He
used to direct plays for his pocket money
during his college days in Apeejay College of Fine
Arts, Jalandhar.
4. He started his television career in 2005. He
worked really hard even he had done several
theatres and comedy shows for free.
The first salary that Kapil Sharma received was
Rs. 1500 while working at a Printing Mill. He
started his career with a show Hasde Hasate
Raho.
5. Kapils first big achievement was winning The
Great Indian Laughter Challenge in the year
2007, He was rejected during audition in
Amritsar but he decided to give it another shot
and auditioned once again in New Delhi. Kapil
not only got selected but won the show.
He also hosted television comedy shows on
colors: Jhalak Dikhla Ja Season 6, Chhote
Miyan, Family Time with Kapil, The Kapil
Sharma Show and Comedy Nights with Kapil.
6. In 2009, he joined the comedy reality show Hans
Baliye as a wild card entry. He also won comedy
series Comedy Circus Ke Superstars.

7. In 2013, he started his own show- Comedy
Nights with Kapil and started his own
production k9 productions company.
At CNN-IBN Indian of the Year awards,
Sharma was felicitated with Entertainer of the
Year award for 2013 by Amol Palekar.
8. He was also selected among top 100 celebrities
in 2013 Forbes India magazines and he was
ranked 96th in that list.
In 2014 Lok Sabha Election, he was declared
the Brand Ambassador by Delhi election
commission.
In 2015, he has done his debut film named Kis
Kisko Pyar Karun.
9. He was to make his film debut with Yashraj
film's Bank Chor, but the project somehow
stopped abruptly.
He has also won NBC Best Stand-up Comedian
Award and Best Stand-up Comic Act Live
Quotient Award.
