Sara Ann Moremen organized a service learning project called "Cans For Cadets" to collect aluminum cans to recycle in order to raise money to send care packages to troops in Iraq. At first, Sara was overwhelmed by the size of the project, but after discussing plans with her group they were able to organize collection and recycling of cans as well as purchasing and shipping supplies. In total, the group raised $213 through can recycling to support troops overseas.
