Overview:
Quotes can be used in a variety of ways in training. Below we have detailed a few examples of how we utilise the Quotes on
Change in our workshops.
To summarise key points.
Distribute quotes to delegates randomly and ask each person to relate the quote back to a content or learning aspect. This
works well at the end of a busy morning or afternoon session.
Ask delegates to select a quote and to illustrate this effectively creating a summary poster
As a source of reflection.
Quotes can be used to assist delegates in reflecting on their own approaches and attitudes towards change. Do they agree or
disagree with the views? What insights are revealed through this? Does the quote suggest actions or next steps?
To change tone or mood of a session.
Humorous or funny quotes can lift the tone of a workshop. Controversial quotes can be used to spark snap debates.
We are sure you will think of many other ideas.

contemplate; but it is a
miracle which is taking

psychological impact on the human

threatening because it means that
things may get worse To the hopeful,
change is encouraging because
things may get better. To confident,
change is inspiring because the
challenge exists to make thing better.
King Whitney, Jr.
To keep our faces toward
change, and behave like
free spirits in the presence
of fate, is strength
undefeatable.
Helen Keller

change clothes to meet the
German Ambassador: they
want to see me, here I am.
If they want to see my
clothes, open my closet and
show them my suits.

Change. It has the power to
uplift, to heal, to stimulate,
surprise, open new doors,
bring fresh experience and
create excitement in life.
Certainly it is worth the risk.
Leo Buscaglia
Change means movement.
Movement means friction. Only
in the frictionless vacuum of a
nonexistent abstract world can
movement or change occur
without that abrasive friction of
conflict.
