The company provided an intern project and enlisted four Lean Six Sigma Green Belt candidates to map
the manual steps in four process areas of Sales (Quote), Procurement, Provisioning, and Project
Management to be converted to an automated Customer Resources Management (CRM) application.
During this project the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt team, Defined the problem, Measured the processes
and cycle times, Analyzed the current processes which included Suppliers, Inputs, Outputs, Customers,
and Requirements. The team made the following recommendations towards Improvements and
Controls for the phased roll-out of the CRM leading to reduced cycle times, increased quality, and the
elimination of waste.
