Katie Gallagher presents on her experiences with blogging and using Photoshop. She finds blogging challenging due to deciding what to write and the time commitment required. For her blog, she chose a peach layout with hummingbirds to keep readers focused on the content. Her blog name captures her passion for movies and TV. Photoshop has helped her refresh skills like using the liquify, clone, and crop tools as well as new tools like blemish heal. She believes the clone stamp tool is her favorite as it allows her to put her own spin on photos. Her favorite photo required adjustments in Photoshop to the brightness, tone, saturation, and lighting to prevent blurriness. She finds constantly adjusting photo size
2. SLOGGING THROUGH
BLOGGING
Hard. Like having a never-ending college paper. Hard to decide
what to write about.
Foreign. Blogging is unlike any other writing Ive done. Then
again, I love texting and going online.
Time-consuming. Hard to keep up with it with classes, activities,
homework, and waiting for the shower.
3. MY DESIGN VISIONS
Less Distracting Graphics. Chose a peach colored layout with
hummingbirds because it wasnt too distracting. Keeps people focused
on the message and words not just the pictures.
A Name I can Relate To: For my blog header I choose to say Livin
the TV and Movie Life which captures by passion for acting, movies,
and TV shows
4. MY BLOGGING TOOLBOX
Love the Re-edit: Allowed me to fix
errors and typos and change things
after looking at the blog later.
5. PHOTOSHOP IN WORDS
Refreshing. . Using Photoshop in this class has helped me refresh
my memory on how to use the liquify, clone, and crop tools. It has
also taught me to use the blemish heal tool, which I find very useful.
See Things in a New Light. Look at photos and wonder if the
subject was captured correctly and how photos can be fixed.
6. I BELIEVE IN CLONING
(IN PHOTOSHOP)
The clone stamp tool is my favorite tool. The tool entertains me
because it is fun and allows me put my own spin on different photos.
7. MY WINNING PICTURE
Flag Football Team in action- -
Required more editing. I had to adjust
the brightness, the tone, the saturation,
and the lighting just so the photo
wouldnt look blurry or out of focus.
My editing changed the entire feel of
the photo.
8. MY TAKE ON PHOTO
INCORPORATION
Time-Consuming. Constantly having to adjust the size and format
of the photos just so they could fit on to the posting page.
Frustrating. Frequently had to reposition the photos into the blog.
