Being a public education employee is a calling, not just a job. Despite challenges like bureaucracy, politics, and criticism, public educators have never given up on their promise to students. They continue advocating and volunteering for students and public education, knowing their work really matters and makes the world a better place. However, politicians now want educators to pay more for pensions while getting less, trying to renege on the promise made to educators. Educators must stand up and let politicians know that pensions are a promise that must be kept.
