#7: Over the course of his life it is projected that Sam will have 10 or more jobs. This stat comes to us from our friends at the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Ten is a good starting number but it is likely that the number will be much higher. And what kind of job will Sam Student have?\n
#8: It is likely that it will be in a service industry. 80% of American jobs are now in the service industry and that number is continuing to climb. One of those people in the service industry is Tammy Teacher. \n
#11: Over the course of her career, Tammy Teacher has watched society experience vast changes in what it means to be a effective citizen, a productive member of society. The very rituals by which she pays her bills, buys presents, and even makes phone calls has changed. \n
#12: In the fifty years of her life, the world has made leaps and bounds in technology moving from phones and televisions a luxury in the home, to one in the pocket of most teenagers. Tammy Teacher has grown in tandem with America watching it shift from an economy dependent on production to that dependent on skills and services. with (next slide)\n
