A survey of birds and wildlife at Kurichi Forest and Lake in 2011 identified various species. At the lake, birds observed included little cormorant, darter, little grebe, great white pelican, white-bellied heron, and others. In the forest, birds seen were black kite, black eagle, grey and red jungle fowl, Indian peafowl, pigeon, green parrot, and others like great coucal and owl. Wildlife in the forest included forest pig, rabbit, viper, small deer, and elephants were previously spotted in 2005.
