1. To Whom it May Concern,
My name is Kurt Steinfort. I met Bill Rogers over a decade and a half ago when he owned and operated
a historic restoration and General Contracting Company. It was then that I first worked under his
mentorship. Right from the start it became very evident that Bill had a keen business sense, a
tremendous work ethic and natural leadership ability. I remember on one particular occasion some
friends working at another company's job site were absolutely stumped on how to fix a problem to
complete some construction. Bill hopped out of his truck, took a look at the issue, and in seconds was
able to offer solutions to overcome the problem that all the other carpenters could not figure out. Bill
has an uncanny gift to see polished, final results when the "materials" are in their raw form. When
faced with obstacles no one is better on finding solutions. It is this vision, diligence, and natural talent
that served Bill so well when he decided to change his career path and venture into the mortgage
industry. After working for a well-known mortgage firm and learning the business, Bill opened up a
small brokerage. He offered me the opportunity to join him and I am very grateful that he did so. Bill
trained me as a loan officer and within months I was running a crew of 5-10 loan officers as a manager.
Bill also trained the processors. Bill taught me a tremendous amount of skills on the art of salesmanship,
from assuming the sale to coming from a place of strength, not weakness. He gave me the skills that
serve me well to this day. As for business sense and sales skills, I have yet to meet his equal. In no time
the business grew leaps and bounds. Bill tripled his sales force and we moved to a massive office to
accommodate the incoming business and the employees handling it. With Bill at the helm, I was given
the role of Vice President of Sales with a team of 20+ loan officers. As the C.E.O, Bill was fantastic to
work for. His expectations were high and he knew how to get the most out of his employees. Out of all
the ways he thrived as an entrepreneur, there is one quality that I admire most. Bill was exceptional at
tailoring his leadership skills to the individual. In other words, Bill understood that everyone who
worked for him was different. Some employees thrive from one leadership style while others require a
different approach. Bill is able to recognize that, and adapt. I consider myself fortunate to have had the
opportunity to work with Bill for many years and consider any individual or company equally as
fortunate to have Bill as a candidate to join their organization. If you would like to contact me, please
do not hesitate to do so.
Warmest Regards,
Kurt Steinfort
