The Flight was formed in July 1996 in Reinosa, Spain by four musicians leaving their previous bands. They began performing concerts around Reinosa and other regions of Cantabria, covering songs by popular Spanish rock bands. Their first album included many popular songs. After releasing their fifth album, they took a break from performing to work on their sixth album Negotiating Gasoline, which was released in 2005 and spent two weeks in the top 10 best selling albums in Spain. Their seventh album Clear Clouds and was an acoustic album including covers and original songs composed during their Latin American tour, influenced by locations like Rosario, Argentina.
