Renars Kaupers is a famous Latvian singer born on September 1st, 1974 in Jelgava, Latvia. He is the leader of the band Brainstorm and gained recognition after winning third prize at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2000 with his song "My Star". Since then he has introduced Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2003 and 2005, helping to promote Latvian music and culture on an international stage.
