Learning Concepts through Practical Makes For Better Students and Citizens Most of the learning in schools happens only in theory. The children are given some explanation about the different concepts and are left to imagine things. Most of these concepts go over their head and they cannot understand nor grasp most of them. At the most some pictures are shown about some things or some objects. But the different kinds of phenomenon that happens in the world of science or the counting of not done or shown in a practical way. Some demonstrations of these phenomena and the different concepts would help the students understand in a better way. The schools need to follow these modern approaches in teaching all the subjects. Other than charts and pictures the teacher has to do some projects or experiments that will help the student understand the things about not only science and math but also the languages and the social science subjects. When a child understands things around him or her their interest in studies increases and also it lets them be creative. Then the learning happens faster and independently of any other influence or mentorship. This is really important as this can help build leadership qualities and also boost their confidence.
Learning some concepts by heart and then reproducing in the exam papers in the same way may attract a cent percent score on the report card. But this leaves the child devoid of creative thinking which is really needed in the business world. Whether the child when it grows up is going to be an engineer, a doctor, a writer or something else creativity and the self-learning is going to help it the most. So from the start of the schooling creativity should be given importance and for that the schools need to deploy more of practical and less of theory when the concepts are taught. With this the learning and the thinking capacity will increase and such students will grow up into better citizens not only in their profession but in all the aspects of life. This is going to benefit the society and nation at large.
