Redefining marriage brings about social change. A small part of this change is positive, but it also brings about a lot of negative social outcomes too. This lecture looks at what happens to law-making in a marriage redefined country and finds that even more laws get passed that weaken heterosexual marriage - harming "society's best place to raise children" even more

Same-Sex Marriage Lecture 5: Redefining marriage leads to even more laws being passed that harm heterosexual marriage
2. From this
Two opposite-sex adults
making a commitment to
work together to fulfil the
RIGHT of their future
biological children to the
best possible start in life
To this
Any two adults making a
commitment to each
other based on mutual,
sexual attraction
Has the REAL capacity to weaken the heterosexual
marital-family norm
We have seen that people who oppose redefinition
have some honest concerns about redefinition and
how it will affect future society.
The overwhelming majority are not BIGOTS
2
3. If all the old ladies who live together in pairs for
companionship formed an activist group that
pushed for the right be called married (apart from
the lack of sexuality, pairs of elder ladies look like
a marriage), people of conscience would also
fight to protect the social definition of marriage
from this group too. Why? Bigotry? No?
Because the marriage club is primarily about
offering the best outcomes for biological children
4. With the redefinition of marriage the
government FULLY accepts the DISHONEST
LABEL that same-sex activists have given their
opponents.
ALL those who think that redefining marriage is
wrong are seen to be evil, small-minded BIGOTS
who need to at any chance possible be
publicly humiliated, dishonoured, disowned.
5. Overnight, over half the adult population most
normally regarded as law-abiding citizens who
contribute substantially to the nation become
law-breaking bigots just for thinking that the
redefinition of marriage was wrong.
People who still voice their disapproval of
redefinition usually lose their job.
6. Canada set up a special commission to seek out those
who were seen to be bigots
Anyone who was seen to have written or said
something that was against redefinition was dragged
through the courts until they typically became
bankrupt.
Anyone who publicly worried about how same-sex sex
is being taught in school to very young children lost
their career.

7. What this means is that, over time, almost all the
committees that discuss topics related to marriage
become dominated by same-sex activists and EVER
MORE laws are passed that consistently work to weaken
heterosexual marriage. The best place to raise children
becomes ever more harmed and violated. Under the
dominion of this social lie society gets TRAPPED in a
spiral of social decay it CANNOT get out of.
8. Many gays and lesbians know the reason why they
turned towards same-sex attraction. They
consciously understand that they were not born
with attraction towards people of the same-sex
and many decide to seek out help to overcome
their challenges.
In a marriage-redefined country however, seeking
such help becomes ever harder. Stories of their
successful movement towards their original nature
become buried. Many find it hard to fight through
all the barriers to get the help they desire. The state
seeks to control so as to continue the social lie.
9. The Only way the state can respond is to become
even more oppressive and radical in its attempt to
stamp out bigotry. It cannot see that its policies
are the cause of the growing tension.
10. Most opponents of redefining marriage CAN see
the argument of same-sex activists an argument
for fairness and equality BUT STILL they believe it
is best not to redefine marriage.
The same cannot be said for most same-sex
activists. They typically show very little desire to
understand the concerns of those who are
presently the members of the marriage club. They
are intolerant of a belief different from their own
11. The state, in refining marriage, is being bigoted
against 98% of heterosexuals who dont even
have the right to have a word that describes
their own, unique, form of family building.
The state is also being bigoted against future
children - for in a marriage redefined world
more and more of them keep losing their right
to the best start they can have in life to be
raised by their 2 married, biological parents.
The only people who have rights here are the
2% of homosexuals and lesbians.
12. Any two people or 3 or 4 or 5 can raise kids
children just as well as the two biological parents
Children dont have an inborn right or desire to
be raised by their two biological parents
And ALL those who oppose same-sex marriages
are bigots
The ONLY way that the state can keep these three
lies in place is through fear. Researchers fear doing
research, people fear talking about the real cause of
social breakdown, etc. This is all a result of trying to
call three or more different forms of union by the
same word. It doesnt have to be this way.
13. Although typically bigotry occurs against
minorities, here, bigotry against the
overwhelming majority is taking place through
the force of a social lie that twists reality.
Look to the future, see the potential for great
harm if marriage is redefined, acknowledge that
those who oppose redefinition have some very
valid concerns, truth fills the social space, and
the spell of the lie is broken and people are then
free to look for other healthier alternatives
15. We look at how redefining marriage brings about
an increase in the rate of decline of religion, and
the timeless values that they teach
In their place, the political class rises as the new
author of what is seen to be right and wrong
based on the politically correct flavour of the
month.
