Leonardo Da Vinci was known as a painter during his time, but his sketchbooks revealed that he also made detailed sketches of anatomy, nature, engineering, and science. Through his sketches, he documented his interests in water movement, human anatomy, and engineering designs, experiments, and ideas, especially related to weaponry and reinventing old inventions. His sketchbooks provided new knowledge in multiple fields and showed that his scientific interests extended beyond painting.
