This thesis proposes a new random access protocol based on CSMA/CA-RTS/CTS to improve performance in dense networks. The protocol splits the common channel into sub-channels for transmitting RTS messages, while using the common channel for data transmission. This allows multiple nodes to contend for the RTS sub-channels in time and frequency, reducing RTS collisions and increasing efficiency. An analytical model is developed and validated through simulations. Performance is evaluated in terms of saturation throughput, transmission delay, and packet drop probability. The protocol is shown to provide better performance than standard CSMA/CA-RTS/CTS, especially in loaded network scenarios.

I taught a class of 62 students on the topic of area of quadrilaterals using new interactive teaching methods. I divided students into 5 houses and assigned them to create things using mathematical shapes like triangles and rectangles to encourage collaboration. Each house worked hard to complete the assignment and the best performers in each house received gifts, motivating students to develop their skills and interact more in class.

This document discusses the topic of communalism in India. It begins with an introduction noting India's religious pluralism and history of tensions between Hindus and Muslims. It then defines communalism as a system of political organization based on communes and federations of independent communities. The document goes on to describe communalism in India as blind loyalty to one's own religious group that is used to mobilize people along communal lines. It lists some key characteristics of communalism such as being ideological, complex, and causing violence. Some causes of communalism discussed are the tendency of minorities like Muslims to not integrate fully and the role of communal leaders in exploiting religious differences for political ends. The conclusion restates that communalism integrates communal ownership and independent
The document outlines a lesson plan on a topic, including the learning outcome, contents to be covered such as new terms and facts, classroom interaction procedures such as asking questions, and review questions at the end to assess understanding. It provides the structure and contents of the lesson to help teach the topic. The teacher is to go through the contents, engage students through questioning techniques, and evaluate learning through the review questions.
1. This document outlines the details of a lesson plan, including the learning outcome, template, content analysis, classroom interaction procedure, and review questions.
2. The content analysis section describes how the topic will be analyzed and broken down into key facts, concepts, and prerequisites. Sample slides are provided.
3. The classroom interaction procedure explains the step-by-step process of delivering the lesson interactively, including presenting content, discussing it, and addressing pupil responses.
This document discusses three types of ice: basal ice, firn ice, and blue ice. Basal ice forms at the bottom of glaciers from meltwater that has percolated down and refrozen. Firn ice forms from compressed snow in polar regions that has not fully consolidated into glacial ice. Blue ice forms when surface ice is exposed and ablated away by wind erosion, leaving behind clear ice.
The highest mountains in the world are located in the Himalayan mountain range, with Mount Everest at 8,848 meters being the tallest. K2 at 8,611 meters and Kanchenjunga at 8,586 meters are the second and third tallest mountains respectively. The top 20 tallest mountains are all located in Asia, with the majority found between India and Nepal along their border with China.
The document discusses principles for organizing a mathematics curriculum. It explains that curriculum organization is a scientific process that should follow principles like correlation with life and other subjects, logical and psychological order, activity-based learning, topical approach, motivation, and adapting to individual differences. It also describes different approaches to curriculum organization like the topical approach, spiral approach, logical and psychological approach, concentric approach, and integrated approach. Finally, it concludes that the curriculum should be well-balanced, properly graded, broadly-based, and organized based on the principles discussed to meet the needs of students and society.
This document discusses how to calculate the cross-sectional area of a prism. It defines that a prism has two congruent polygon bases and three faces that are parallelograms. It explains that the cross-sectional area of a prism is the area of its base. The document then demonstrates how to calculate the area of two specific prisms by breaking them into triangles and rectangles and summing the individual areas. It concludes that the cross-sectional area of any prism is equal to the area of its base.
Mathematics appears to be both discovered and invented. While mathematical concepts like shapes, sizes and quantities have always existed in nature and been waiting to be discovered, many mathematical tools, systems and theories have been invented by humans over centuries to help develop mathematics as a formal science. Key inventions include numerical systems, abstraction of concepts, and tools like the abacus, while mathematical objects and patterns in nature have been discovered through observation and study. Overall, mathematics has advanced through both the discovery of principles present in the universe and the invention of tools and ideas to formally express and apply these principles.
This document is a mathematics textbook for 8th standard students. It covers two chapters: equations and polygons. The equations chapter discusses addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of numbers and solving problems using algebraic methods. The polygons chapter defines polygons as shapes with three or more sides. It discusses the sum of interior angles in polygons, exterior angles, how the sum of interior and exterior angles is always 180 degrees, and defines regular polygons as those with all equal sides and angles.
The Great Indian Bustard, Red-Headed Vulture, Forest Owlet, and Spoon-Billed Sandpiper are highly endangered bird species found in India. The Great Indian Bustard is the largest flying bird in India, but hunting and habitat loss have caused populations to decline severely. Red-Headed Vultures nearly went extinct due to a veterinary drug, while Forest Owlets were thought extinct but have been rediscovered in small numbers in central Indian forests. The Spoon-Billed Sandpiper has an extremely small global population and faces threats of habitat loss and declining breeding grounds.
The document discusses several endangered animal species found in India. It notes that some species are critically endangered while others are near threatened or extinct. Key endangered species mentioned include the Bengal tiger, which is India's national animal but whose numbers have declined due to poaching and human conflict; the Asiatic lion, an endangered lion subspecies found in Gir Forest National Park; and the snow leopard, a large cat found in mountain ranges across Central and South Asia, including several national parks in India.
This document describes a new spray-on invisible thin glass coating that sterilizes and protects surfaces by repelling water, dirt, stains, mildew, fungus, bacteria and viruses. The coating is approximately 100 nanometers thick, environmentally friendly, and can be applied to surfaces within seconds to make them very easy to clean and safe from anti-microbes. Early trials show promising results for using the coating on medical equipment and implants.

Blind Spots in AI and Formulation Science Knowledge Pyramid (Updated Perspect...Ajaz Hussain
油
This presentation delves into the systemic blind spots within pharmaceutical science and regulatory systems, emphasizing the significance of "inactive ingredients" and their influence on therapeutic equivalence. These blind spots, indicative of normalized systemic failures, go beyond mere chance occurrences and are ingrained deeply enough to compromise decision-making processes and erode trust.
Historical instances like the 1938 FD&C Act and the Generic Drug Scandals underscore how crisis-triggered reforms often fail to address the fundamental issues, perpetuating inefficiencies and hazards.
The narrative advocates a shift from reactive crisis management to proactive, adaptable systems prioritizing continuous enhancement. Key hurdles involve challenging outdated assumptions regarding bioavailability, inadequately funded research ventures, and the impact of vague language in regulatory frameworks.
The rise of large language models (LLMs) presents promising solutions, albeit with accompanying risks necessitating thorough validation and seamless integration.
Tackling these blind spots demands a holistic approach, embracing adaptive learning and a steadfast commitment to self-improvement. By nurturing curiosity, refining regulatory terminology, and judiciously harnessing new technologies, the pharmaceutical sector can progress towards better public health service delivery and ensure the safety, efficacy, and real-world impact of drug products.
