Note: In the slides the word Allah refers to the one and only Creator,
Governor and Absolute King of all existence
2. • Begin each good deed with 'bismillah' (i.e asking for
Allah’s help and doing it for His pleasure only)
• Finish each good deed with 'alhamdulillah‘ (gratitutude for
enabling us to perform and finish the task)
• Pray for the ummah (i.e all believers)
• Beware of the day of Judgement (when every small good
and bad deed will matter and will determine how we spend
eternity)
3. • Establish prayer (we may invite others only when we pray
regularly)
• Spend from the gifts that Allah has bestowed (wealth,
knowledge, time etc)
• Speak kindly, gently, and to the point
• Restrain anger and behave in the most excellent manner
4. • Lower your gaze (we may only look with desire at our
spouse)
• Don’t covet (what others have) or envy
• Don’t make negative assumptions (a persons character
cannot be determined from appearance)
• Always remember Allah with reverence and humility
• Be fair and just always (even if you dislike someone)
5. • Advise others to do good (only if we do it ourselves) and
forbid wrongdoing
• Take pure food in moderation
• Utmost kindness and respect for parents
• Love prophet Muhammad (may peace be upon him) above
all creation
• Love The Creator above all creation
6. In the Quran the greatest emphasis has been put on
purification of the heart, mind or soul (Surah Ash Shams).
It is a life-long endeavor the reward for which is eternal bliss.
