This lesson plan outlines an activity for 6th grade students to create and present PowerPoint presentations about different European countries. The students will draw on knowledge gained earlier in the unit about the European Union, populations, and languages of Europe. Each student is assigned a country to research and will create a presentation following a standardized format. They will then present their project to the class and answer questions. The goal is for students to demonstrate their understanding of key facts about their assigned country as well as aspects of Europe more broadly through this creative and collaborative project.

- 3. Lesson development: Activity title Oral presentations Time 20’ each Description We are at the end of the unit, and at this point students must show and explain their presentations. At the end of the oral presentation, the students are able to ask them some questions related to the project. Until this moment, they have been working on different aspects about Europe and finally they have created a power point. The aim of the project is to know some things about Europe: Climate, physical features, languages, countries, European Union… The final project is a power point where the students must reflect what they have learned about Europe in an European country. They must follow a pattern that is the same for every student and they have scaffolding for the oral presentation.
- 10. Maybe it was not what it was supposed to do buy it was really a good projects. Students used computers, they looked for information and they created a powerpoint. At the end they present their final project to the class. I enjoyed it a lot and I think the students enjoyed it too and above all they learnt lots of things about Europe. I’m sure I’m going to repeat it in the future using some of the resources we have learnt in the course.
