May 17, 2015 LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION FOR MS. LORI O’BRIEN: It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Ms. Lori O’Brien. I have known Lori for close to one year. I hired Lori to teach in our first Summer Math Academy at Redwood Middle School, and then to serve on our Redwood Middle School faculty as a sixth grade math teacher. Lori is a passionate educator who is student focused, innovative, caring, and progressive. She is a delight to watch in the classroom, as she interacts with students supporting their academic success, providing students with what they need when they need it, and in alignment with 21st century learning principles. Lori has excellent command on how to effectively use technology in the classroom as well as many other resources and modes of instructional delivery. Lori is not afraid to take educated/calculated risks in the classroom, so students and colleagues may benefit. She is brilliant, kind, caring, and is highly professional. Lori is well read on the latest successful trends in public education. She is a hard worker, is independent, and has superior skills with communication. Her background and qualifications make her versatile, able to serve in a wide variety of positions, and very desirable candidate for the elementary or middle school levels.
