Tài liệu ghi nhận các lỗi thường gặp trong việc viết câu của sinh viên, bao gồm những sai lầm về cấu trúc câu, mệnh đề và cách sử dụng dấu câu. Nó cũng nhấn mạnh tầm quan trọng của việc phân biệt giữa câu ghép và câu phức, cũng như yêu cầu sinh viên chú ý đến ngữ pháp và cách phát triển đoạn văn hợp lý. Phân biệt 2 loại câu này sẽ giúp tránh các lỗi về câu. Comma Splice: 1. Đây là câu ghép, cần phải dùng các từ nối hoặc dấu câu đúng. IC1, fanboy IC2 IC1; conjunctives9 ( however, therefore,….), IC2 IC1; IC2 => Most of them have sacrificed their youth to defend our country up to now. We ourselves are their descendants to live and enjoy a more beautiful society. 4. Can say that they have many methods. Câu trên ko có S-> Fragment. => we can say that……. Or it can be said that……….. 5. I think that old people should be respected in our society. Because they have very many experiences in life. => Fragment. => Vế thứ 2 bắt đầu bằng “ because”, vậy là một mệnh đề trạng ngữ chỉ nguyên nhâ. Nó là một MĐề phụ thuộc – Dependent Clause or DC, nên không thể đứng một mình và cần có một mệnh đề chính ( Independent Cl)

Respecting the old is to educate……….. Trên đây là một số lỗi các em hay gặp. Một số em mắc các lỗi khác cần tự sửa. II. Grammar Nhiều bạn còn sai về ngữ pháp cần chú ys viết đúng ngữ pháp. Ví dụ: they are play the role of…………. Cô nói trước lớp rồi thì phải, 2 V đứng cạnh nhau thì phải ntn? III. Paragraph Development. Nhiều em đã biết lập dàn ys trước khi viết, sử dụng các nguyên tắc unity, coherence cũng như các từ nối. Tuy nhiên, nhiều bạn viết dài nhưng lan man, chồng chéo, lặp ys do ko lập dàn y đúng. Chúng ta cần xem lại phần này.
