This document summarizes the findings of a study on the availability and use of digital security systems in university and special libraries in Sri Lanka. The study found that only 18.18% of university libraries had initiated security systems, compared to 0% of special libraries. RFID and CCTV cameras were the most used systems in university libraries. Key challenges identified were lack of financial support, high costs, and lack of infrastructure. Suggestions included educating administrators, developing security policies and plans, using alternative power sources, and training library staff.
