The poem describes customs in the village regarding interactions between boys and girls. According to elders, boys and girls are not allowed to look at or play with each other during the day. At night, they are supposed to play separately as well, but they secretly meet and play hide and seek instead. During the game, boys seek girls and girls seek boys, and they sing to each other.
