2. Using GroupHigh and BuzzStream together...
is valuable way to build new content partnerships and to
outreach after you create a great piece of content. This step
is about finding and emailing blogs to build content
partnerships. Youll be using two tools for this work:
GroupHigh to find blogs to target, then BuzzStream to find
and send emails.
4. Find the client folder
for your link building -
Create a new folder if one hasnt
already been created.
5. Add a new list - naming it after the search term you are trying to link.
6. Go to the Search tab - Make sure the list you made is selected on
the left hand drop-down when you are searching.
7. Choose your keywords - Type keywords specific to the blog
categories you want to partner with or outreach to. You can pick several keywords
in order to narrow down the blogs returned in your results.
8. Filter results - Once your search has returned results, a left column will appear with
more specific filters. Under SEO Metrics, choose a MozRank of at least 4, and a min Domain
Authority of 30. This way we wont bother with blogs who have a bad rep.
9. Find blog emails -Star the blogs with an email icon that look like good match for outreach. You
can usually measure this by a blogs social ranks and recent post dates. If they dont have many followers,
or havent posted in several months, they might not be a good option.
10. View your selection - Once youve starred the blogs, go to the List tab, and
you will see your starred selections.
13. Create new project - Name the outreach after the type you are doing and the client, then
nest it under your team lead.
14. Add websites - Click Add Websites at the top toolbar, select Import from Existing File, then Match My
CSV. Upload the CSV file you exported from Group High - After the file is uploaded, the websites will appear in a
list within the project.
15. Delete those without email or low DA - Go through and select those websites that DO
NOT have a e-mail icon so you can hit edit and delete them. Click the option Permanently delete these websites
from your master database. You need to decide what low means to your client but generally anything below 30
should be thrown out. Also throw out any that you know you cant get on to with an outreach email. Like
TechCrunch or Wired.
16. Create outreach template - Once youve cleaned up your URLs, create a template of the
message you wish to send to all sites on your list. You can add website specific information by clicking and
dragging in options from the right hand toolbar.
17. Start Outreach -Once you have a list of urls you can email, you will click Select All, Select
Outreach at the top, and then Start Outreach.
18. Review outreach -Select the template already created for this outreach, and go through the
emails one by one to make sure there are not mistakes with your addresses, or pre-filled fields. Then approve the
email and go to the next, until your list is complete. Make sure you are sending from the correct email account.
Also, make sure that website hasnt been contacted within the last three months. If they have, dont email them.
