The Leadership Manhattan Beach Class of 2013 project aims to install hydration stations in high traffic areas in Manhattan Beach to promote a plastic-free environment. The stations would be located in areas approved by Public Works for visibility and accessibility. The goal is to reduce plastic bottle waste by 38 billion bottles per year by encouraging water refills, educate the community about environmental issues, and position Manhattan Beach as a green leader.
