Lord Frederick Leighton was an English painter, sculptor, illustrator and writer born in 1830 in Scarborough, England. He is known for his oil paintings depicting romantic and classicist subjects inspired by literature and mythology. Some of his most famous works include "Flaming June", "The Bath of Psyche", and paintings depicting scenes from the stories of Perseus and Andromeda. He died in 1896 in London.
