An item left behind by guest either in the rooms or Bars &
Restaurants in public areas.
Identified by any staff and brought under the notice of
Housekeeping is termed as Lost and Found item.

3.1 All items received to be recorded in lost and found register.
3.2 Items should be put in a plastic bag noting the serial number from the register,
place found, date, name of the person who found the item etc.
3.3The lost items must be secured in a locked closet or area that has highly restricted access.

4.1 If a guest claims an article he must sign a receipt with his identification like Emirates ID
Or Passport copy
4.2 If guest requests an article to be returned by courier then identify the details and
deliver the items. (Note:- Courier charges paid by the guest).

8. 5.Unclaimed items.
5.1 Unclaimed valuable items are handed over to Dubai Police after 6 months.
5.2 Unclaimed non-valuable items are distributed to the person who found them, after 3
months.
5.3 Lost and found perishable items will be disposed directly in presence of the Security
Manager or Manager on Duty as mandated by the Dubai Police.
