SUMMARY OF CAPABILITIES: 
Resident Engineer for mutli-projects and disciplines development with over 17 years of 
extensive site and office experience in the design, management, coordination and 
execution of large projects in the Middle East and the Arab Gulf region, including 
supervising/managing of various contractors in a single phase delivery. 
Oversee working of all engineering personnel, verifying executed works for compliance 
with contract requirements, approved specifications, local authorities etc.., resolve all 
construction processes, recommend improvement to all construction activities, ensure

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: 
2009 to date Dar Al-Handasah Consultants (Shair and Partners), Dubai United Arab Emirates, 
Resident Engineer: 
Jumeirah Park project, built on an area of about 385 ha and comprises a mix of various types of 
buildings and dwellings such as 5 bed room, 4 bed room, 3 bed room large and small villas 
totalling a number of 2764, with all related civil, architectural and electromechanical, 
infrastructure and landscape works. 
The villas include various high end quality finishing, aluminium, wood, marble, decorative steel, 
ceilings, GRC, high performance painting and flooring… with all the relevant HVAC, fire 
systems, plumbing, LPG, lighting, pumping, kitchens, telecommunication etc…systems. The 
project incorporated various value engineering exercises and modifications to original scope, 
exposing myself to various challenges related to quality, cost and time constrains. 
Was also involved in major soil investigations works, soil improvement, concrete tunnel 
systems, pre-cast concrete, contractors’ proposals for modifications and alternatives, mock-ups 
authority inspections, daily and final inspections, weekly and monthly meetings, progress and 
cost reports, programme reviews and updates , interim payment certificates, snags, de-snags, 
handing over processes, defect liability periods, end users relations, final certifications, etc… 
Being a resident engineer, managing a team of more than 15 engineers from different 
engineering disciplines to construct more than 800 villas packages by various contractors, 
having job responsibilities not limited to contract administration, materials review and approvals, 
site supervision and inspections, employer and authorities relations, etc… 
Responsibilities also includes review of contractors’ claims, variations orders, technical and 
commercial recommendations to the employer, de-scoping, cost savings, terminations, re-tendering 
and restructuring.

Assistant Project Manager/Project Coordinator: 
Jumeirah Village: 1500 Villas, townhouses and Infrastructure. Responsibilities include the 
review of the land-use master plan, design, tender documents and supervision of construction 
for all villas and townhouse. It also includes the follow-up on technical issues, overseeing the 
implementation of procedures, coordination of project activities among various disciplines, 
project parties and ensuring quality of all disciplines, including high end quality finishing

2005 - 2007 Al Habtoor Engineering, Dubai, UAE, 
Senior Architect /Project Engineer/Coordinator: Duties comprised the follow-up on all technical 
issues, implementation of procedures, coordination of project activities between all disciplines of 
project and ensuring quality of all disciplines related to the project. 
The responsibilities include preparation of shop drawings, coordination with various MEP 
systems, obtain approvals from consultants, attend weekly progress and coordination meetings,

preparations of quality plans, documents/revisions management and tracking, for the following 
projects: 
1. Emerald Palace, Palm Jumeirah- Kempinski UAE: This project consisted of the 
construction of 20 villas, an apartment building and a hotel on Dubai’s man-made 
island, the Palm Jumeirah, with a value of US$ : 238 Million. The apartment building 
includes a basement, ground floor, six floors, and a roof terrace complemented by 
dome structures. It covers approximately 100,000 square meters of the total built-up 
area. The project’s 20 residential villas include a total built-up area of around 24,000 
square meters, while the hotel is spread over a built-up area of around 74,000 square 
meters. The hotel comprises a basement floor, ground floor, and five upper level floors. 
Responsibilities included the engineering management works, shop drawings, 
coordination of various disciplines, coordination with operators to meet hotel operator 
criteria and manuals, coordination with Interior design consultant and contractor, 
industrial kitchens etc… 
Acted as assistant project director, assisting in schedules of works, monthly and weekly 
progress reports, procurement and approval of materials, attending meetings, follow-up, 
project coordination with stakeholders, client, local authorities, consultants and 
stakeholders, follow-up on cost items and payments related to suppliers, Clients, 
controlling project disciplines regarding deliveries in relation to cost, time and scope 
2. Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), UAE: is the construction of eight towers within the 
40-tower Jumeirah Beach Residence development with a value of US$ : 273 Million The 
scope of work included piling, construction of the substructure and superstructure, 
services and fit-out. The eight towers, collectively known as Sector 4, have a total built-up 
area of over 2 million square meters and are made up of commercial and residential 
spaces. 
Each tower consists of a semi-basement level and two further levels for car parking, 
loading and unloading bays, building services and access to upper floors. The podium 
perimeter and the upper podium deck are for commercial, recreational and 
entertainment use. All upper levels are for residential use, and include penthouse and 
loft apartments, as well as a mix of one, two, three and four bedroom apartments. 
Responsibilities include site works, office activities including shop drawings, managing 
site teams, execution of the complete tower finishing materials, ceramic tiles, 
aluminium, fire zoning, fire sealing and compartments, mechanical floors, window 
cleaning systems, precast panels finishing, curtain walls, swimming pools, raised slabs, 
cast aluminium balustrades,…. 
3. Movenpic Hotel: Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR)-24 Floors US$ 31 Million works 
The scope of work included the construction of the five-star, 24 storey, Movenpick 
Hotel Jumeirah Beach as part of the wider Jumeirah Beach Residence development. 
The hotel features a basement level, a ground floor, 23 floors of suites, roof gardens, a 
covered bridge, landscaping and a swimming pool. Piling and elements of the 
substructure works were also included in the scope of work. 
Responsibilities included preparation of shop drawings, coordination of with Interior 
Design ( ID) team, selection of materials and finishing, front of house, back of house, 
kitchens, ballroom, gymnasium, sauna and steam rooms, restaurants, food and 
beverage facilities, selection of material wood works, carpets, ceilings, fit outs, 
furnishing, fire systems, mechanical floors, lifts, curtain walls, swimming pool, soft and 
hard landscaping…. 
1998 - 2005 Arabian Civil Works Company, Beirut, Lebanon: 
1. Assistant Project Manager/Site Manger (2003 to 2005) for Beirut Arab University 
Debbieh Campus, Lebanon (US$ 7.5 million). The project comprised the construction 
and complete interior/exterior finishing for the 5-storey Administrative and Architectural

School Building (10,000 m² in built-up area), 4-storey men's dormitory (3,000 m² in built-up 
area), 2 residential buildings for faculty accommodation (each of 1,500 m² in built-up 
area), in addition to all related site excavations, access roads and landscaping works. 
Duties included the continuous supervision of the construction teams, coordination 
between different trades, monitoring the set schedule of works and executed quantities, 
selection of materials and skilled teams for each trade, preparation and submission of 
shop drawings and materials for approval, negotiation and implementation of varied 
works with the Consultant, final handing over of the project, and preparation of all 
related as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and project 
documentation. 
2. Project Manager/Site Manager (2002 to 2003) on Metropolitan Hotel Grand Habtoor 
Project, Lebanon for soil investigations excavation, shoring and raft foundation works 
(US$ 5 million). Site management for a 30 m deep excavation with piling works, 
stressing anchors and soil nails, backfilling shot-crete along the periphery of a surface 
area of 12,000 m², including varying soil conditions during construction, mitigation 
shoring plans, suspension of works, variation orders and extension of times…. 
3. Planning and Estimation Engineer (2001 to 2002). Study, evaluation, preparation and 
submission of tenders for residential, medical, governmental, industrial, hospitality, 
transportation, road, educational, leisure and tourist resorts, and landscaping project in 
Lebanon, Libya and the Arab Gulf region. This includes full market survey for local and 
international suppliers and subcontractors, price analysis, technical comparisons, 
overhead calculations, submittals to tendering authorities, attending bidding meetings, 
awards and preparation of contract documents. Major projects/assignments comprised:

The apartment building includes a basement, ground floor, six floors, and a roof terrace complemented by dome structures. It covers approximately 100,000 square meters of the total built-up area. The project’s 20 residential villas include a total built-up area of around 24,000 square meters, while the hotel is spread over a built-up area of around 74,000 square meters. The hotel comprises a basement floor, ground floor, and five upper level floors. The eight towers, collectively known as Sector 4, have a total built-up area of over 2 million square meters and are made up of commercial and residential spaces.
