This document provides an itinerary for visiting important Buddhist sites in Nepal known as the Greater Lumbini Circuit. It begins with Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, which contains sacred sites like the Ashoka Pillar and Mayadevi Temple. The second day visits Kapilvastu, the ancient capital of Buddha's Shakya kingdom. The third day is spent in Devdaha, the maternal home of Buddha's mother. ASHOKA PILLAR LUMBINI- The supreme pilgrimage was once situated between Shakya kingdom(kaplivastu) and Koliya kingdom(devdaha) a beautiful garden where Siddhartha was born & became Buddha who show the path of emancipation .
The Greater Buddhist Circuit encompasses LUMBINI(The holy birth place of lord Buddha),Site of ancient Shakya kingdom KAPILVASTU, DEVDAHA site of ancient Koliya kingdom and maternal home of Mayadevi(Buddha`s mother) & RAMAGRAMA; site of a living virgin stupa and one of the eighth Budhha`s Relic Stupa.
Itinerary of Greater Lumbini visit A) SACRED GARDEN -Mayadevi temple,Marker stone -Ashokan pillar,Sacred pond -Stupas and ancient remains. Day-1 LUMBINI B) MONASTIC ZONE -Chinese,korean,german etc monastries, central canal. -Peace lamp,museum. C) NEW LUMBINI VILLAGE -World peace pagoda - Crane sanctuary area
Day-2 KAPILVASTU -Tilaurakot (Ancient Shakya Palace) -Kudan -Gotihawa -Niglihawa -Araurakot -Sagarahawa -Jagdishpur lake etc.
Day-3 Devdaha -Kanyamai temple -Bairimai temple -Archeological remains Ramagrama (The virgin relic stupa of Shakyamuni Buddha)
