This document provides instructions for removing the brake-brake actuator from various Lexus models. The steps include disconnecting the 6 brake lines from the ABS & TRC/VSC actuator using a special tool. Disconnect the brake hose and connector. Then remove the actuator assembly by removing bolts, nuts and cushions, varying slightly depending on the vehicle model and engine. Torque specifications are provided for each fastener.

- 1. BR?25 BRAKE ? BRAKE ACTUATOR BR1R4?01 REMOVAL 1. 2JZ?GE engine LHD models: REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET AND AIR CLEANER (See page EM?30) 2. DISCONNECT BRAKE LINES Using SST, disconnect the 6 brake lines from the ABS & TRC / VSC actuator. SST 09023?00100 Torque: 15 N·m (155 kgf·cm, 11 ft·lbf) HINT: S When disconnecting the brake lines, use tags or make a memo to identify the place to reconnect. S At the time of installation, connect each brake line to the correct position (See page BR?22). 3. DISCONNECT BRAKE HOSE AND CONNECTOR 4. REMOVE ABS & TRC / VSC ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (a) RHD models: Remove the engine under cover and fender liner. (b) RHD models: Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and ABS & TRC / VSC actuator assembly. Torque: 19 N·m (195 kgf·cm, 14 ft·lbf) (c) 2JZ?GE engine LHD models: Remove the nut, 2 bolts and ABS & TRC / VSC actuator assembly. Torque: 19 N·m (195 kgf·cm, 14 ft·lbf) (d) 1G?FE engine LHD models: Remove the 3 botls and ABS & TRC / VSC acutuator assembly. Torque: 19 N·m (195 kgf·cm, 14 ft·lbf) (e) Remove the 2 nuts and ABS & TRC / VSC actuator. Torque: 5.4 N·m (55 kgf·cm, 48 in.·lbf) (f) Remove the 2 cushion bolts and 3 cushions.
