In the first half of 2014, Macau saw 15 million visitors, an 8.1% increase from the previous year. Most visitors were from Mainland China (10 million, 66.8%) and Hong Kong (3 million, 20.7%). On average, visitors stayed just 1 day. Their top shopping expenditures included clothing, handbags/shoes, jewelry/watches, local food products, and cosmetics/perfume. Mainland Chinese visitors spent the most per capita at 2,659 MOP.
