Majestic Gears was incorporated in 1973 as a private company manufacturing bicycle components for Hero Cycles. It became a public company in 1977 and launched its first moped, Hero Majestic, in 1975. Currently led by Chairman and MD Mahesh Munjal, Majestic Gears manufactures spare parts and two-wheelers, including mufflers, seats, rims, and electric motors. It plans to shift its electrical operations to Greater Noida and sustain growth by emphasizing the electric vehicle market.
