Dentsu, a large Japanese advertising agency, teamed up with a photographer to create paint sound sculptures for a Canon printer brand campaign. They placed ink drops on a membrane covering a speaker. When different sounds were played, the ink vibrated in patterns, captured with high-speed video. This innovative art-as-advertising approach was engaging for viewers and challenged competitors. While the technique may not last, it inspired new ways of combining art and sound and pushed advertising to be more creative.
