 So whats different about DCs?
 Developing countries are in general
countries which have not achieved a
  significant degree of industrialization
relative to their populations, and which
have, in most cases a medium to low
  standard of living.
So practically I mean -
 Low infrastructure
 Human resources issues
Most have no form of automation
Data entry / analogue to digital migration
  is a major issue
Managing the challenges
Where there is no (reliable) Internet
  Access
Using a virtual machine for offsite
  installation. Vmware (or Virtualbox).
Clone virtual and restore on physical
  using clonezilla
 Upgrades Only manually possible
 When major upgrades required?
Koha in Virtual Machine
Clonezilla
Managing the challenges
Human resources / training
 Simplify training Patrons management,
  Cataloguing and Circulation
 Very simple Book/Journal Cataloguing
  Framework
 Automated scripts for backups
Simple Koha Framework
Managing the challenges
Analogue records to digital migration
 Scan isbn when available
Use MarcEdit to search for records in
  batches
 Upload into reservoir
     or
Add koha items (952) and import into
  koha
 Any better method?
Batch processing in MarcEdit
