Map a Crime is a crowd-sourced social startup that allows the general public to anonymously report crimes they have witnessed or experienced directly to law enforcement agencies. It gathers crime statistics to identify areas with higher crime rates and helps law enforcement agencies and the public visualize crime patterns on an interactive map. The platform aims to address unreported crimes by protecting anonymity and does not currently have competitors in the local market. It seeks support from the public, media, tech companies and law agencies to promote usage and enhance the system.
